MHCS - Build Your Own Web Site

I have included this page to help those people who want to have a go at constructing their own web page or site. There are many good web page authoring tools available, however, if you want to get serious about web page development you will eventually have to learn html.

A good place to start is to do one of the online courses offered by the HTML Writers Guild or Virtual University. They offer courses from basic html to advanced web site development such as PHP programming. Alternatively you could do one of the online or downloadable tutorials listed below.

It is also a good idea to get a good html editor. I use HomeSite.
I have used many editors over the years and found HomeSite to be the most flexible with excellent support.

One of the best suggestions I can give to anyone learning html, is to visit many different sites on the web and view their source code. Most browsers will let you do this. I hope you get many hours of pleasure developing your site and enjoy the links below.
